OC Mart Mix

My newest hangout will now be the OC Mart Mix! www.theocmartmix.com Saturday was ideal to take advantage of the Farmers Market, food trucks, and positive energy amongst all the local vendors.  If you fancy a more “boutique” vibe farmers market, this is the place for you.  I loved sampling delicious fresh apples, strawberries, marcona almonds, and even kettle corn.  Make sure to take your own re-usable bag for shopping, their is no bigger fashion faux pas then a pretty girl with a plastic bag! Never before had I seen such a bounty of extraordinary produce, being a vegetarian is a delight with so much available to enjoy.  The strawberries were the size of a my fist! It was also the first time I ate something off a food truck, a vegan batter peanut butter and banana crepe made the cut! I was extremely disappointed when they presented the crepe in a styrofoam box, it took away from the beauty of the dish! Nothing that we enjoy for only a few minutes, is worth leaving to rot in the earth for hundreds of years. Note to food trucks, drop the styrofoam for earth friendly alternatives! The gallery of shops once inside the Mart Mix. Each one more charming then the next! I’m obsessed with whales and their conservation, so when I saw this pillow at the store, “Gatehouse”, I fell in love.  Everything at Gatehouse makes you want to move in, or bulldoze your place for a complete re-do! Talk about relaxing and serene…I plan on picking up this art for my place, why not display my beliefs on the wall! “Ornate Home” offers gorgeous, unique pillows and home accessories, that would enhance even the simplest home.  The problem is, which ones do you choose? I need a few…“Paper House” is your go-to store for fabulous and flirty paper goods. The cards, stationary, and wrapping paper, were all so pretty, and so was the girl working!  The “Hat Rack” was a bevy of beautiful hats for all your summer needs.  The one I’m wearing fit perfect, and would fare quite well for additional trips to the farmers market! “B. Candy” has every retro candy and tee, anyone would need to feel like a kid again.  Are you inspired to buy bushels of flowers when you see a beautiful stand full of them?  “Fresh Flowers” will certainly have that effect on you! Housed inside the quad of the Mix, alongside the common area where the couches are. “Outdoor 365 Living” has the most incredible furniture!  I want to bring the outside in! My purse is a signature YSL leopard print from a few seasons past.  The open “loft” vibe of the OC Mart Mix create an effortless shopping experience.  Each store flows seamlessly with it’s neighbor, you just want to stay all day.  How stunning is the outdoor patio? Perfect to hang out day or night.  Can’t wait to go back! Fountains, sustainable landscaping, and an overall beautiful outdoor area is another plus at the OC Mart Mix.  My MaxMara flat riding boots, denim cut-offs, and Joie silk blouse, were great for a day at the Mart!
